7th & 8th Grade FIELD HOCKEY
Dover-Sherborn Field Hockey 2008
We are
looking forward to a great 2008 season!
After its
3rd season the Dover-Sherborn field hockey program continued to
provide an instructional activity for seventh and eighth graders
with emphasis on teaching the game of field hockey. In 2007 we saw
an overwhelmingly positive response to the program and were able
to create seperate 7th and 8th grade teams! We hope to continue
to allow the program to grow in 2008! The program is open to all
seventh and eighth grade Dover and Sherborn students.

registration form and make checks payable to The Town of Dover.
If you have any questions or are unable to attend the registration
please call Park and Recreation at 785-0476.

Sports Institute will be running a Field Hockey Camp the week of
August 4th - 8th, 2008 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Caryl Park for ages
7-14 yrs. Please click here
for more information about the camp. *
Practices will be held at the Middle School field
near the tennis courts.
2008 Practice Information -
The first practice will be held on Monday, September 8th, from 2:15
- 3:30 PM. Regular season practices will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays,
& Thursdays from 2:15 - 3:30 PM. There may be times when practices
will run until 4:00pm if before a game or skills need to be worked
on. Most games will be held either Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday
with an occasional Tuesday & Friday game.
Please make sure you come prepared
with all your equipment. All girls should come prepares with a stick,
shin guards, a mouth guard, goggles, shorts, cleats, water bottle,
and sneakers. If you need equipment the Dover Parks and Recreation
office has a limited number of pads and sticks to lend out. Goggles
may also be purchased for a $5.00 fee. We encourage everyone to
purchase their own equipment for this reason.
