Dover Parks & Recreation plans a number of special seasonal events annually each year, offering a great opportunity for families in Dover to connect with other residents!
SPRING
(March / April / May)
Annual Spring Egg Hunt and Arts Event
- held annually on the Saturday before Easter
Youth Fishing Derby
- held annually in early May
Pop-Up Playdate with Knucklebones Games
- held on DS school district-wide early release days. (ie: Elementary, Middle & HS early release days)
SUMMER
(June / July / August)
Summer Concert Series on the Dover Town Common
- held annually on Tuesday evenings each July/early August on the Dover Town Common
Back to School Concert! Music & Dance performance for children
- mid-to-late August on the Dover Town Common
FALL
(September / October / November)
Dover Days Fair
- held annually on the second Saturday of September in Dover Center
DSHS Cross-Country Team: Dover Dash 5K & Fun Run
- held during the Dover Days Fair, on the second Saturday of September

Virtual Costume Contest
- submit your Halloween costume photos throughout the month of October
Family Pumpkin Decorating Party
- held annually on the Saturday before Halloween
*NEW* Flag Football Turkey Bowl
- held on the early release day before Thanksgiving
WINTER
(December / January / February)
Annual Parents Night Out: Cookie Decorating Party
- previously held as part of the the Dover Tree Lighting, following the Chickering Band's musical performance, due to high demand this program will now be offered as it's own unique event, held at the Caryl Community Center in mid-December
Outdoor Ice Skating at Channing Pond
- dependent on an extended period (approx. 1 week or more) of consistent, below freezing temperatures, without snow
